REFRESH & REBUILD

  • During these difficult times, we feel like the Lord wants the people of JB to know that we do not need to wait for ‘normality’, but that we can be personally refreshed and renewed by Christ right now. We want people to leave their time at JB being prophetically rebuilt and refreshed with joyful expectation of how the Lord IS working in our lives. Whilst we can find solace in waiting for the restrictions to end, we have the opportunity to bear witness to God’s promise of refreshment even as we wait.

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
    Jeremiah 31:25

  • For rebuilding to happen, some of our pre-existing, unsteady walls need knocking down. When we rebuild, we are then able to start from the ground up and put firm foundations and roots in place. We may feel knocked back with our own relationship with God, especially without communal worship and events that provide us with inspiration and fellowship. Communities and society have been shaken and can feel more divided than ever. How can we strive for justice and equality from our homes? Now is a time of great opportunity to rebuild our churches, not the buildings but the communities and structures within.

Knocking down all of the extra things can help us to realign our hearts with what breaks God’s. He wants to show us how to be refreshed every day with new mercies. We are a chosen people we are called to be the voice of light in the darkness!

After these things I will return,
And I will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen,
And I will rebuild its ruins,
    And I will restore it
    Acts 15:16

  • This theme is a prophetic expression to the world of what it means to be a Christian. To declare that our spiritual refreshment is based on the Lord and not on when life is ‘normal’ again. How do we know what in our own lives and society more broadly needs to be broken down and what is good to stay? How can we rebuild something if we don’t know the plans for the new build? We need that conti

REBUILD

And I will rebuild its ruins,

And I will restore it

Acts 15:16

We believe that this theme is a prophetic expression to the world of what it means to be a Christian. As we rebuild in response to our personal refreshment, we begin to see the societal changes the kingdom of God desires. We seek to live from a place from abiding with Christ, free from the pressures and expectations of the world, in true freedom.
